The Berwick International Students Association (BISA) is a committee of MUBS that represents the international students at the Berwick campus.

 

BISA was first established in October 2001. Its aim is to integrate the international community on campus and organise various activities, and assist students with any problems.


General aims and objectives of BISA 2007:

  1. A desire to support and assist international students in the Berwick Campus
  2. To be in the better position to meet the needs of international students that comes from 20 different countries
  3. To make up for the lack of facilities and activities available in this campus by organising more events and outings
  4. To get international students living in this region more involved in the community and enjoyment of time in Monash
  5.  To maintain harmonious relationships by create culture awareness and enrich cultural understating at Monash Berwick
  6.  To above all join forces with MUBS and work together on activities that will cater to all students working closely under the guidance of MUBS
  7.  Motto: Integrating Diversity

 

Overall, BISA is here to help the international students adjust to uni life and living in Australia. Basically, we provide support and assistance to these students, who compromise nearly 1/3 of Berwick Campus’ population.

 

BISA’s motto for 2007 is integrating diversity. As all of you are aware, there is a wide mixture of different cultures that exist in Berwick Campus.

Get to know us or any other international students at the BISA-MAPS Lounge (previously known as the International Students Lounge). It’s located at Building 902, G57.
